Change data on PDF master page with iText

Question: I am using Adobe LiveCycle ES2 to design multipaged and taylor made PDF documents containing interactive forms. We build JAVA web server applications to manipulate these online PDF documents with iText 5.0 API library. By using LiveCycle I created a static XFA form with one master page and some watermark and text fields on the footer. I want to change these on the fly.

I got a strange result. I added some text fields like TextWatermark, TextFieldDate and TextFieldName. The form I have created contains 10 pages so I expected Adobe Reader to present those fields on all the pages. The first page looks OK but my iText solution does not automatically update all other associated pages. What’s wrong?

Question: In the past few days every time I start Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, Adobe Flash CS4 or Photoshop CS4 the Acrobat Reader (!) updater pops up and tries to download updates. It slows down my Internet connection too. This time the Adobe Updater wants to download more than 300MB from the Internet. I want to get rid of it completely. How can I disable it in Windows 7?

Question: When browsing with Safari on my MacBook Pro I am often getting the error message: Slow Script, Safari is no longer responding because of a script on the webpage “www.abcdefg.com” (http://abcdefg.com/). Do you want to stop running the script, or let it continue?. This alert frequently appears on web sites like espn.com or gmail.com. I have tried resetting Safari, resetting the computer, repairing disk permissions but none of the usual things are working. What’s wrong with my Safari?

Question: I have to create an Adobe Acrobat 9 document full of forms with value validations and buttons. Some buttons must launch an external media player to download and play our video files. These files will be uploaded to our website later. Can a PDF doc launch another app or process or file?
