Question: As a graphic designer I often have to design icons, logos, launch and background images for iPhone applications. Latest apps run on iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3, iPhone 4GS and iPad and there is a big boom and confusion in this area. I use Adobe Photoshop CS4. What size and type of images do I have to create for such a project?

Build iPhone static library with Xcode

Question: Our project team has a new iPad/iPhone 4 project. We want to put some business logic and generic functionality into a common library but the Xcode 3.2.2 SDK does not allow us to create custom Frameworks unlike for Mac OS X. Is there a way to build a dynamic library for iPhone apps too? We have already opened our App Store account.

Can’t install Xcode 3.2 on Snow Leopard

Question: I downloaded Xcode SDK 3.2.2 from Apple’s web site to develop some iPad applications but I had to upgrade from Mac OS X 10.4 to Snow Leopard first. I downloaded and installed all OS X updates. Current version is 10.6.4. It took two hours but works fine. When I wanted to install Xcode 3.2 my Mac crashed. It keeps crashing or hanging all the time I try to reinstall the SDK. What is going on with Snow Leopard and Xcode 3.2.2? Please do not say clean install… This could very well be an Apple problem.

iPad – iPhone code compability in Xcode project

Question: Apple has started selling the iPad and published their iPhone 3.2 SDK. I think it is the right time to start developing iPad applications. First I would like to transfer my existing iPhone apps to the iPad platform. I am having a MacOSX and Xcode on my MacBook. Do you have any advise?
